This bank holiday weekend saw the Royal Navy opening its doors to the public at the Devonport base for a glimpse in to the lives and machinery behind the name and stories.

There was a helping hand played by the weather for Sunday and Monday with the sun providing the spectacular air displays a worthy backdrop for the manoeuvres that seemed to defy physical laws and gravity!

The new Eurofighter was strutting its stuff with its afterburners waking up the Cornish to be followed by one of the only planes that could excite the crowds more, yep the old faithful Spitfire.

A helicopter display by the Blue Eagles proceeded in the afternoon.

As always Boatshed Plymouth & Maritime Plymouth were on hand to join in the fun and point any lost sailors in the right direction to the bar or marine related industry! 
