Seasons greetings from boatshedmedway
Well the wind might be blowing and we are all making preparations for Christmas but if you are like me, thoughts soon turn to boating even in the depths of winter. Whilst this time of year is very much for the home or harbour it is also a good time to take stock of the year and consider the next.
The year (2009) started with lots of bad news as our economy appeared to be on the brink of ‘melt down’. However, the brokerage industry appears robust and boats of all types sold throughout the year. The main issue appeared to be price and in summary those owners who correctly followed the market levels of value did generally find buyers. I perceive that these same principles will apply in the next season and I would be happy to discuss your individual boat if you so wish. Please call or email to discuss your requirements.
2009 saw many boats sold, and in Boatshed Medway in one month alone we did over 1 million pounds worth of sales for our registered owners. Buyers did get some good deals but most of our sales saw the boats selling at a sensible market value. This time of year can see the more dedicated purchasers enter the market as they make plans for the next season.
I am mindful that I may not have seen some owners in recent times. Please be assured that my phone is always on and I am monitoring emails ‘morning, noon and night’. In otherwords, even if we haven’t spoken, I am constantly working to secure customers and sales.
Although it may seem some time away, the days will start to lengthen and with it will come the prospect of next season. In preparation, I will be sending out an update email that will enable me to update your boat with any new additions, changes etc.... It is always good to freshen things up and the beginning of the new year is always a good time.
It just remains for me to wish you a very Happy Christmas and a safe, prosperous and enjoyable 2010.
