My yacht brokerage is based on the River Medway in Kent. This is a very popular boating area with a wide range of different boats. There is a person for every boat and a boat for every person! Boatshed has grown and from the medway area we can access customers throughout the United Kingdom and from Overseas. With recent changes in exchange rates, I have seen an increase in enquiries especially from customers within the euro currency. My brokerage is well located for these customers. We are 45 minutes from the channel tunnel and the airports at Stanstead, Gatwick, Luton and Heathrow are close. I am more than happy to give advice and assistance on travel arrangements.

The Medway River is a large boating area with some significant contrasts. The lower parts of the Medway contain numerous Marinas, Boatyards and Clubs which cater for most craft. The Medway has its historic connections and the historic docks continue to be developed with new facilities for owners and visitors coming on-line all the time. Beyond Rochester, and the medway takes on a more traditional river appearance as it makes its way up to Tonbridge and beyond. There are some lovely marinas and yards on these sections and the river passes round some of the most attractive areas of countryside in kent.
I have a sailing yacht based in the Chatham Maritime Marina and enjoy sailing with the family when time allows. I enjoy meeting all my owners and introducing new customers. When I look across the marinas from the decks of my boat, I see different boats all the time and I am forever surprised by the variety that exists. Boating is as much about the boats as the people but in conclusion – ‘every boat tells a story’.
