For the first time, BENETEAU calls upon an external architect. 1976 was to be
a decisive year for Vendée shipyard. With André MAURIC, everything is rethought (the sail plan, the keel, the interior layout, the shape of the roof), this boat is called the First. During its presentation at a boat show in Paris it was a revelation and is to become a legendary series. Lovely Lines, great and responsive performance.
In 1978, it is chosen as “Boat of the Year”

Broker's Comments

A rare opportunity to buy a well-cared-for modern classic, known for her sailing performance or gentle cruising.
The Mauric-designed First 30 of 1976 very popular worldwide – 1,000 built. She was, in fact, a detuned IOR half-tonner. Club racers still love these boats and families enjoy the sea kindly way she sails when cruising. This vessel has the benefit of a roller boom system and all lines are led aft to make single handed sailing easy too.
She will sell quickly so if you are interested then let us know as soon as possible.
