The boats were designed by Gordon V. Harris, with early models built from 1970s to the early 1990s by Rydgeway Marine. Later models were built by Pegasus Yachts at Oulton Broad.

The majority were fitted with twin bilge keels. Some were deep fin keel yachts and a number had shallower wing keels. There were also lifting keel versions and centreplate versions. This vessel is a lifting keel version
The masthead version had a deck- stepped mast set fairly far back from the bow, with a large furling Genoa and high-aspect Bermudan mainsail with a very short boom.
The fractional-rigged version had the mast stepped further forward, and a mainsail with a longer boom.
The optional Gunter-rigged version had the mast more forward and the mainsail had a long boom.

Broker's Comments

These boat details are subject to contract.
A great family cruiser, very roomy & Forgiving to sail.
These popular yachts have good sailing performance as well as good accommodation.
The boat is amazingly responsive, gets in the groove quickly and puts a grin on your face when either going up wind or running.
The Pegasus 700 is an efficient boat that a family can be comfortable in due to its ride and the amount of space in the interior, even though it is a small boat. The current owner is upgrading to a bigger boat after 18 years.
This example is in need of a clean up & sort out but everything seems to be there to get you out on the water.
